U.S. High School Education

    • Program Description:
      • Students interested in pursuing a U.S. high school education may pursue their learning objectives both in their home country, study abroad in a U.S. school, or pursue a combination of both. Please see below for options
    • American Diploma Program (ADP) at Western Australian High School System
      • Program Description:
        • International students wishing to pursue a U.S. education in Vietnam, may enroll in the American Diploma Program (ADP) at the Western Australian High School System (WASS). This option gives students the opportunity to begin their education in their home country or a regional Asian country, before considering study abroad. Students may also complete their entire U.S. high school education at WASS. 
        • Students in this program will begin enrollment in the 10th grade, and complete up to 25 required U.S. high school credits throughout 10th – 12th grade. 
        • For each year of enrollment, students will be taught a minimum of 6 U.S. high school curriculum courses, according to the Pennsylvania common core education standards. Students will also be taught other courses required for the Vietnamese schooling system.
      • Program outcomes:
        • Students will graduate with U.S. high school transcripts & high school diplomas upon successful completion of program requirements 
    • K-12 American Curriculum Program at Western Australia School System (WASS)
      • Program Description: 
        • Students interested in studying the U.S. curriculum from the K-12th grade level may enroll in the new Western Australia School System (WASS) K-12 American curriculum program. Students can begin as early as the kindergarten level, and take classes based on American pedagogy and curriculum standards throughout their education. 
        • This program of study will be introduced in various stages, beginning with the K-6 Grade program. The 7-9 Grade program will be launched in following academic years. All students in Grades 10-12 may enroll in the WASS ADP program
    • Study-in-America Programs 
      • Program Description:
        • International Students wishing to pursue a U.S. education abroad may enroll in study-in-America programs. Programs are provided by the American Scholar Group (ASG), an AEDG affiliate. Students choosing to enroll in this program would attend a U.S. high school and live in student dormitories. 
          • Student services include:

            • U.S. University Admissions counseling
            • Student Activities Programing
            • Food Services
            • Transportation Services
        • Enrollment Options:
          • International students may enroll in study-in-America programs from the beginning of 9th grade. Several options exist for students that wish to pursue or complete part of their U.S. high school studies at WASS & in the U.S:
            • 4-Year U.S. High School Study 
              • 9th – 12th Grade: At Private U.S. High School
            • 1+3 
              • 9th Grade: At WASS school 
              • 10th – 12th Grade: At Private U.S. High School
            • 2+2
              • 9th – 10th Grade: At WASS school 
              • 11th – 12th Grade: At Private U.S. High School
            • 3+1 12th Grade Graduation track 
              • 9th – 11th Grade: At WASS school 
              • 12th Grade: At Public U.S. High School
            • 1-year study abroad program 
              • Students pursuing this program may study abroad for a full academic term throughout any year in 9th – 12th grade. Credits earned shall go towards graduation requirements

      • Short-term study program options are appropriate for international students wishing to pursue 1-4 week programs.
